We started the year collaborating with the Science and Mathematics Council as part of the Question Setting Committee to set Mathematics and Computer Science questions in the 42nd and 43rd International C. B. Paul Science Quiz 2021 and 2022 respectively. Through the intense and creative brainstorming sessions, and from the feedback of the panel of judges from the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, our members had an invaluable experience where they honed their skills. Our juniors are also continuing the legacy by setting creative application-based questions for the 43rd International C. B. Paul Science Quiz 2022.
Keen to share our knowledge, we conducted an introductory coding and Minecraft workshop for the ACJC Community to develop their interest and aptitude in basic programming.
We also underwent 6 months of intensive training conducted by IMO and IOI medallists to take part in competitions such as the Singapore Mathematics Olympiad 2021 and National Olympiad in Informatics 2022. Additionally, our juniors are working on research projects on neural network and imaging to participate in the Singapore Science and Engineering Fair (SSEF) 2022.
Prior to the major examinations, our club has also organised the Peer Support Group where our members provided academic support to our peers.
